i have a h23 engine, i put the distributor wires on backwards..

Q.i have a h23 engine, i put the distributor wires on backwards thinking that the number one cylinder was on the passenger side how does it run and what could happen from doing this.
Answer You should not hace caused any damage by doing this other than maybe cause the engine to flood.
