I just spent $700 on the same problem. My car died while I was driving. And the mech said it was the coil. And then it was the Crankshaft Positioning Sensor(CPS). And then it was the ECU. I have the car up and running, but I still have 2 codes that keep my check engine light on, P1420 and P1452 and they both deal with a Secondary Air Injector System.
