Same thing happened to me 2000. If it is not your spark plug it is your idle air control motor. The 95 might be to old to have an ICM but it would then have an idle air sensor. My RPMs dropped to and my car would not move, paid $600 to replace my idle air control motor (yeah i was ripped but i wanted it done same day). Apparently back up of CO2 from the exhaust into the motor causes the problem, good luck.

PS: my check engine light did the same but went off after i got it fixed
