the check engine light on mine just came on. i'm at 50200 miles (approx).

i left it parked for a month and half. my wife
started it up once in that period. when i tried
to drive it again, it started doing revs by itself
while at neutral. it would reach 2k rpms (by itself,
no foot on the gas pedal) when on neutral but not
when on drive. after a day it's not doing that
anymore but the cel (check engine light) is still on.

will the local honda dealer diagnose this for free ?

I have the same problem: 99 Accord with CEL at 75k miles. The engine is runing fine, and the code indicates something about CC or the sensor problems. I reseted the ligth few times, but it keeps on coming on the week after. Hope it is not serious!
