when i need to change the timing belt for '99 toyota corolla?

Car: Toyota, Corolla, 1999     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Toyota Repair Manuals

Q.when i need to change the timing belt for 1999 toyota corolla. It has 74000 miles on it.

In winter for how much time do i need to keep engine started without driving In order to heat it up.

Answer The 1999 corolla doesn't have a timing belt, it has a timing chain which will last a long time under normal driving conditions, probably longer than the rest of the engine, toyota has no recommendation when to replace the chain. Unless you wish to let the car warm up so that the heater will heat the inside of the cabin there is no need to let the engine warm up unless you are in subzero conditions all the time and if that's the case an engine preheat system may be necessary to heat up the oil in the crankcase before starting.
