What causes the transmission to stick?

Car: Audi, A3, 2005, 2.0l fsi     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Audi Repair Manuals

Q.What causes the transmission of an automatic gearbox in an audi a3 to stick, causing the car to jerk everytime the vehicle attempts to change gears?

I already checked/done: Changing the gearbox oil

More Info required Is the transmission a direct shift gearbox (DSG)?
Does it happen more when it's cold or hot, or both?
Does the transmission shift through all the gears (6 speeds). How many miles on the odometer?
Does it ever feel like it's slipping, even after a shift?
Does it jerk on every shift, or only certain gears?
Are there abnormal noises, i. E. grinding, thumping, squealing tires, etc?
Does the jerk resonate through the whole car, or does it just feel jerky up front under the hood?
When the transmission sticks, does it not shift when you want it to or does it take too long to shift?
