Toyota Landcruiser 1998 moonroof problem.

Q.toyota landcruiser 1998 moonroof problem. The sliding section retracts to half way and appears to stall. It will not retract any further even when button pressed. The slider will not return to closed unless external force is applied and button pressed, even then the slider does not return to the exact closed position. It is a quarter inch open and still at an angle.
I already checked/done: looked for foriegn objects, could not see any. added hand pressure to assist closing. with the slider closed as much as possible the slider sometimes opened halfway without the opening switch being activated
More Info required Are you saying the glass does not open evenly instead it opens and closes at an angle?
