The heater/air conditioning fan is not working.
Car: Chevrolet, Impala, 2004, 3.8 v6 - Back to Fix-It
Q.The heater/air conditioning fan is not working. When I turn on the switch, the air conditioning light lites up, I can hear the Air Conditioner working, but nothing blows. Any advice on where to start troubleshooting? The switch, the fan motor? all has been running well, it just stopped the other day 65000 miles. 2004 Impala.
I turn the switch, the indicator lights go on for air conditioning, etc, but nothing blows. The air conditioner motor is turning, I can hear/feel it cycling.
Answer The first thing that I would check is to make sure all fuses are good. If they are, then it sounds like the blower module has gone out. It is located underneath the passenger side dash all the way to the back by the firewall; it is a rectangular box. I would recommend buying the blower module before attempting to fix it so you can use it as a reference. This is a very common problem.
