Q.Problem: the transmission drags when upshifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Is there a fix for the Acura TL transmission problem, or will it likely cause more problems after being rebuilt or replaced?

Answer the internals of the transmission have just plain worn out.
rebuilding this at a transmission shop will not fix this long term only a patch for the problem.
