My air conditioner fan isn't working right.

Car: Saturn, SL2, 2000, V6     -    Back to Fix-It

Q.My air conditioner fan isn't working right. It will come on for a while, and then stop working randomly.
I sense that it's a loose connection or a short. (There is cold air when I hold my hands up to the vents, but not the air isn't blowing with any force.)
My car is a 2000 Saturn SL2. If I knew where to look, I would like to check the connections and wires to see if anything is loose, but don't know where to start. Thanks.

I already checked/done: Not much. Just tried wiggling a few wires and turning the fan on and off.

Answer You need to check the connector at the blower motor, which is located underneath the right side of the dash. You will be able to see it when looking up from the passenger floorboard area. If connections are tight, then the blower motor itself is starting to fail. This is a common symptom of a blower motor going out. It will stop working intermittently and then finally will stop working all together.
