My 2004 Honda Accord's emergency brake never felt quite right, like it wasn't engaging.
Car: Honda, Accord, 2004 - Back to Fix-It - Honda Accord Repair Manuals
Q.My 2004 Honda Accord's emergency brake never felt quite right, like it wasn't engaging. This evening, when I pulled it up, the lever went up higher than usual and didn't feel like it had any tension to it when I put it back down. When I got home my rear brakes were smoking which I interpret as the emergency brake is stuck on. Is there any simple way to get it to release?
Answer Only simple way to try is reach under the car and try to jiggle the cable and see if they loosen up enough to drive the car
