my accord headlights do not work

Car: Honda, Accord LX, 1990     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Honda Accord LX Repair Manuals

Q.my 1990 honda accord LX headlights do not work but my high beams do and the right side blinker stays solid outside the car and inside on the dashboard. i checked fuses and blubs and there all good.
i had to remove my right signal blub. some one answered my question already and it worked fine until today when it happened again. my blinker stays solid only when headlights are in the on position ( but there is no light ) but when my headlights are not in the on position, i can signal fine. right when i flip the switch to turn my headlights on, the right blinker light on my gauges will light up and stay green. please help, i am stuck with driving with my high beams at night time.

Answer It does still sound like there is a grounding problem, there isn't much else for an explanation why that turn signal light would stay active.
I would check that ground over by the mount again, make sure the surfaces it mounts to are clean also as that has an impact sometimes. I would check to make sure all the bulbs are active also, how did you check the bulbs? Sometimes they seem okay but are not operative.
I think I would just replace both headlight bulbs (low beams) and make sure all the bulbs in both headlights are properly secured in the headlight housing. Let me know what you find and if none of this fixes it I wil.. >> login for more
