Locking and arming alarm on car remotely but hazards will not flash.

Q.When remotely locking and arming the alarm on the car, the turn signals/hazards would flash momentarily to confirm the alarm is on. Now I lock the car and arm the alarm remotely (ie. remote control) but the turn signals will not flash. How do I rectify this problem? Thanx.
