Q.I own a 2002 Honda Accord with 55ooo miles on it. Automatic transmision. When car goes from first to second, it seems to jolt or get stuck. It''s all over the internet that That year has problems although no recalls. Any information would be helpful.
Answer You are right Honda has had some problems with these transmissions, unfortunately the recall does not cover your year Accord. It is very strange because it is basically the same transmission as the ones that are being replaced under recall.
You should try and contact Honda Customer Relations (1-800-999-1009) to see if they would be willing to help you with the repair. You will be required to bring the car to the dealer so they can verify the problem. You might even have to pay a diagnostic fee.
