Restoring 1994 Acura Legend

Q.I just bought a used 1994 Acura Legend LS Coupe and had a couple of questions about restoring it. The courtesy lights do not work and I heard it might be the ICU or fuse. Which should I check first? Also I did some research and find that the vehicle overheating is a common problem. How can I avoid that? Is there anything else I should be looking out for? It's in excellent condition with 100K and family owned. Thanks.

More Info required Do you mean the interior lights in the car do not work.
