Coolant circulation question

Car: Acura, EL, 2004, 1.7L - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals

Q.I have a 2004 Acura EL 1.7L. The coolant flows from the rad to the overflow tank when the engine is hot but does not return to rad when the engine cools. The coolant level in the overflow bottle rises and that in the rad drops equally. The engine does not overheat as the temp gauge shows normal. I had the rad cap and thermostat changed, the overflow bottle cleaned and checked for flow both ways and is ok. The system was pressure tested and I was told it is OK, there is no sign of any leak anywhere. The timing belt and water pump were changed about 60,000k ago. Can you tell me what the problem is?

More Info required Have you had a cylinder leak down test performed?
