Car looses at least 1 quart of oil between my 3000 mile oil changes.
Car: Honda, Accord, 2000 - Back to Fix-It - Honda Accord Repair Manuals
Q.I have a 2000 Honda Accord with 85,000 miles that looses at least 1 quart of oil between my 3000 mile oil changes. I have no spots on my driveway, where is my oil going to? I had the timing belt changed at 78,000 and I told the shop to look for leaks that I am loosing or burning oil, they said they changed some seals that had small leaks. No change, I still add a quart of oil ervy 1000 - 1500 miles.
Answer The amount of oil that you are losing between oil changes is considered normal oil loss for a higher mileage (over 50,000 miles) engine.
I am curious what seals did they replace ?
