A/C oil capacities ?
Car: Honda, CRX Si, 1990 - Back to Fix-It - Honda CRX Si Repair Manuals
Q.I have a 1990 Honda CRX Si with a 1.6 litre engine. What is the type of oil and the exact volume of oil to put into each of the four components (compressor, condensor, evaporator, and dryer) of the air conditioning system at start up, assuming that all of the components are new sterile clean and dry?
Answer I recommend PAG oil for the ac system. There is no reason to put oil in either the condensor or the evaporator before installing. Use 5oz oil in compressor, put in thru suction hole and hand rotate clutch 10-20 times to prelubricate all internall parts. Use 3oz oil in drier before installing.
