I changed the rotors, calipers and pads in my Honda CRV rear rotors.
Car: Honda, CRV, 2003 - Back to Fix-It - Honda CRV Repair Manuals
Q.I changed the rotors, calipers and pads in my Honda CRV rear rotors. The rotors are slightly hot to the touch after driving 4 to 5 miles- not hot enough to burn but uncomfortable if you hold your finger tips to them for more than a few seconds at a time.
I assume that the pads are rubbing on the rotors heating them up but is there anything I can do about that? Is it a problem to drive at 60 mph for 60 miles or so?
More Info required Did clean the rotors of the oil before installing them? What type of pads did you use- semi-metallic, ceramics? Did the calipers reseat easily or did you have to fight them to get the to reseat?
