How to remove crank shaft pulley?

Car: Acura, TL, 2005, 3.2AT     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Acura TL Repair Manuals

Q.how to remove crank shaft pulley on 05 TL. and is the pulley nut standard or reverse thread? Im installing new timing belt any "heads-up" information?

I already checked/done: i have specific tool to hold pulley, just not sure which direction is off. Meaning standard or reverse thread. procedure would work.

Answer It great that you have the special tool it will help a lot! The bolt is right hand thread which means to remove turn it counterclockwise. It is going to be very tight so you will needa good impact wrench or a long breaker bar for leverage.
The most important thing to remeber about the timing belt is to make sure before you remove the belt to turn the engine to top dead center (TDC) and observe the marks. It also helps to mark the pulley locations with a little touch up paint, so when you are going back together you have a east reference to make sure the engine is timed correctly.
