How do I get the crank shaft bolt off?
Car: Acura, Integra, 1988, 1.6 - Back to Fix-It - Acura Integra Repair Manuals
Q.How do I get the crank shaft bolt off of a 1988 Acura....left or right?
I already checked/done: I've tried the breaker bar....broke it. Tried 1/2inch impact...nothing. There is not place for any tool everybody keeps telling me about, it just a round pully hole.
Answer These are the tools that they are refering to, there should be a large hex that the tool fits into and you insert a socket through the center of the tool while using the tool to hold the balancer in place and turning the bolt in a counterclockwise direction (right hand threads)

Here is a better view of the tool that should be available at your local auto parts store on a buy/rent basis
If you do not have the hex in your balancer it may have been replaced along the way, let me know and I might be able to come up with a way to loosen the bolt. Is this an auto or manual trans?
