new ECU with a performance chip in it for 2001 Audi A6.

Car: Audi, A6, 2001, 2.7T     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Audi Repair Manuals

Q.Hi Guys, I just purchased a new ECU with a performance chip in it for my 2001 Audi A6 2.7T.
All of the part #'s match up but when I start the car the engine shuts off after a few seconds and the security light on the dash flashes. I think that the immobiliser is activated.
I wanted to know if there is a way I can correct this or what the steps are that I have to take. Thanks.

Answer THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE IMMOBILIZER TO GET WORKING IS THAT THE VEHICLE NEED TO BE TOWED TO AN AUDI DEALER W/ ALL OF THE KEYS TO BE REPROGRAMMED!!!
NO OTHER WAY DUE TO THE SCAN TOOL CONNECTS W/ GERMANY FOR THE CODES!!
