Rough starting
Car: Acura, TL, 2008 - Back to Fix-It - Acura TL Repair Manuals
Q.Hi, 2008 TL-S. Had to take in due to very rough starting over time.... needed fule injector work. Was told by service mgr that CostCo, Lowe's, & Meier gas was sub-par. Now I need to more actively seek out Philips/Conoco, Shell, Mobil... I'd like to take a step further and add something to the gas every other fill-up or so. Is this recommended? Would "anything" work or is there a preferred additive for my car? Thanks for any thoughts.
Answer Most additives are mostly the same. Chevron makes a fuel additive called "techron" that is one of the better ones out there seafoam & Lucas are not too bad either. Just make sure you use premium fuel that less than 10% ethanol for the best results as well.
