Q.heat seems to always be on. freon is topped off. motor controlling vent doors has been replaced. temp sensor has been replaced. "cable" on water control valve was adjusted. all done at honda dealership. example: this morning temp control set to 68. once engine warms up, heat starts coming out at my feet as it should. after a few minutes, the center dashboard heat starts rolling out. i''m roasting. have to turn temp control down to 62 to get the heat to back off.

a minute later cold air is blasting out of the dashboard vents. ambient temp was 42 degrees. it seems to be all or nothing with the system. i''m either roasting or freezing. before this problem started, temp control would stay on 75 year round and the car was always comfortable. my honda guy seems to be out of ideas. also the system was put on the computer and show no electrical problems. HELP!!

I already checked/done: topped off freon. replaced temp sensor. replaced vent control motor. water control valve cable adjusted. all this done at the dealer.

Answer Have had these with bad air mix motors that act just like yours. Look on the repair ouder for the part number of the part that was replaced it should be 79160-s84-a01( # 6 on picture )this is the motor that controlls the heater valve a lot of times the techs get confused and replace the other motor thinking it controlls the heater valve if thet changed 79140-s84-a01 they changed the wrong motor
