Q.Have a 1995 Mustang Cobra, after supercharging the abs light is sporadic pending on temperature conditions. It is causing havoc on the electrical system due to when it is in the mode of about to go out the abs pump is working and the volt meter jumps to below 8 volts. Ran diagnostic test and it said it was in the front drivers side sensor. Replaced sensor but to no avail. Also read about some kinda of ground wire to abs control unit that may be bad. Any help would be appreciated. Also when you turn the headlights on the abs light goes out then as soon as you turn the headlights off it comes back on. Some kind of short somewhere in the abs system. Checked fluid level for brakes and ground strap from abs motor to frame.

I already checked/done: replaced sensor at front drivers side where code was coming from

Answer it sounds like you have either left off a ground wire during the s/c install or you are using a ground that should be dedicated, have you tied into any wiring for power or ground instead of going directly to the fuse panel/box or directly to ground. I would like for you to check all the power and ground connections under the hood and anywhere else you may have come in contact with, clean any existing ground / power connections while you are looking, alittle maintenance goes a long way. Are the front and rear tires the same circumference? This will cause false activation. Ck the alternator wiring also / 8 volts is not good... >> login for more
