Has anybody changed the turbo in a 1997 F-350 PowerStroke for a supercharger?
Car: Ford, F-350, 1997 - Back to Fix-It - Ford Repair Manuals
Q.Has anybody changed the turbo in a 1997 F-350 PowerStroke for a supercharger?
I presume changing to a supercharger would allow a driver to change a single exhaust to a dual exhaust. Would that work?
Answer There used a to be a V8 production engine in semis which had turbos and superchargers and it was diesel but it was also a 2 stroke engine.
I dont see why you couldnt mount a supercharger instead of a turbo. I dont think you will get the cylinder compression levels up as high as a turbo can. Turbos dont rob as much engine power as superchargers do. It will take alot of fabricating and custom parts but if dual exhaust from the engine is what you want then the turbo delete is needed
