Burning smell - no power steering
Car: Acura, CL, 1997, V6 3.0L - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals
Q.Good day. I have a 1997 Acura CL 3.0. Early this morning while idling, I started smelling a burning odor. It then turned into smoke coming from the passenger side of the hood and through the vents (defrost on level 1 fan at 80 degrees). I popped the hood and discovered small black debris. I turned the car off for a couple of hours and when I attempted to drive to work this morning, the battery light on, the burning odor resurfaced, and I no longer have power steering. Do you know what this could mean? Your response is greatly appreciated!
More Info required this sounds like a drive belt might have broke or something has let go.
if you open the hood and look on the passengers side of the engine do you see 2 fan belts ?
