Q.ford escort xr31 mk4 wont start no spark present.

I already checked/done: changed plugs, leads, DIS coil and esc still no spark present when car turns over tested starter motor and thats all fine as well

Answer u have changed Distributor on engine ?
remove the distributor cap.
crank the engine over - ensure that the rotar arm rotates.
if not -
remove the cam belt cover - does the cam belt appear intact and - turning cam ok during cranking ? - yes - your camshaft may have snapped clean in half.
if rotar is rotating ok - ensure rotar is clean shiny on pick up end.
thats all i can think of at mo. Been a while since i worked on these.
