Car starts fine but stalls out after a few miles of driving.
Car: Honda, CRX Si, 1991 - Back to Fix-It - Honda CRX Si Repair Manuals
Q.My CRX Si has no problem starting up in my driveway and drives like normal for roughly 3 to 5 miles and then stalls out completely, after which, it takes up to 10 minutes to turn over and start again. I've done some simple stuff, like changed the fuel filter and my next task is to replace the fuel pump - which I know will be a pain (dropping the gas tank and all). Does anyone have any other suggestions, in the event that this fuel pump is not the problem? My baby has 258,000 miles on it and had the engine rebuilt and all seals replaced at 215,000 miles. Help please? I love this ballsy little guy and will try anything to get it back to functioning.
Thanks,
Jenny
I already checked/done: I've done some simple stuff, like changed the fuel filter and my next task is to replace the fuel pump - which I know will be a pain (dropping the gas tank and all).
