AC problem

Q.'91 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN
I RECHARGED THE AC SYSTEM. THE COMPRESSOR WORKS FINE..
I RAN A WIRE TO THE BATTERY STRAIGHT TO THE COMPRESSOR.
THE INSIDE SWITCH WHEN ENGAGED DOES NOT START THE AC?
THE SWITCH IS GOOD I BELIEVE..FROM THE SWITCH TO THE FUSE
PANEL IS GOOD .. THE PROBLEM I THINK IS BETWEEN THE FUSE PANEL
& THE COMPRESSOR UNIT. IS THERE A RELAY IN THERE ??
I'M VERY PUZZLED /

Answer What about the pressure switch if you jump it doea the system operate.
