2005 Chrysler sebring, trouble code P2074
Car: Chrysler, Sebring, 2005 - Back to Fix-It - Chrysler Repair Manuals
Q.I have a 2005 Chrysler sebring with a trouble code P2074 map/sensor throttle position correlation.
I replaced the map sensor and the throttle position sensor with no joy, what can I do to fix this??
I already checked/done: new map sensor and new throttle position sensor
AnswerP2074-MANIFOLD PRESSURE/THROTTLE POSITION CORRELATION - HIGH FLOW/VACUUM LEAK
Set Condition: If vacuum drops below 1.5 Hg with engine RPM greater than 2000 RPM at closed throttle.
The throttle plate and linkage must be free from binding and carbon build up, ensure the throttle plate is at the idle position, ensure the throttle plate is at the idle position.
This code is enabled on engines with a plastic intake manifold and is intended to shut down the engine if a large crack occurs in the intake manifold.
A large vacuum leak is most likely the cause of this Code. Inspect the Intake Manifold for leaks and cracks.
