Q.2004 honda crv a/c clutch and coil replacement. is there enough room to remove above items without having to drop the comp and is a puller required to remove the belt pulley after the snap ring has been removed?

Answer I have never done a compressor clutch in the vehicle on this model as I always replace the entire assembly. Here is the diagrams for clutch replacement. You will need a holding tool for the shaft nut but there is no special tool required to pull the pulley, just snap ring pliers

Remove the armature plate (A) and shim(s) (B), taking care not to lose the shim(s). If the clutch needs adjustment, increase or decrease the number and thickness of shims as necessary, then reinstall the armature plate, and recheck its clearance. NOTE: The shims are available in four thicknesses: 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.4 mm and 0.5 .. >> login for more
