Q.I have a 19999 mecury mountaineer that wont start the battery is fine the start side of the starter is not powered up when the key is turned to start. Is the anti theft system stopping it from starting? Shawn S. thanks in advance.

I already checked/done: checked to see if I had power to the starter solenoid when the key is turned to start. No power to it. Battery is charged up.will crank the motor when using a hand held starter button. does this car have a starter relay under the dash

More Info required What does the theft light do when the key is not in the ignition?
What does the theft light do wit hthe key in the ignition and turned to the run or start position?
If you turn the key to run and use your remote button starter wired in will it crank and run?
