Ignition Timing Inspection
1.Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm (min-1) with no load (in Park or Neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
Check the idle speed.
3.Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC) (A). Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and jump the SCS line with the HDS.

4.Connect the timing light to the front No. 1 ignition coil harness.

5.Point the light toward the pointer (A) on the chain case. Check the ignition timing under no load conditions: headlights, blower fan, rear window defogger, and air conditioner
