My car has been in the shop for transmission repair

Q.My sons 99 honda accord v6 auto. has been in the shop for transmission repair. The torque converter failed originally but after the transmission mechanic repaired it he has pulled it twice trying to solve the problem he thinks is electrical. It will not move in Drive or 3rd gear but has a good 2nd gear and reverse. The Mechanic thinks it is might be the celanoid pack(which has fire all the time?) neutral safety switch, or the transmission module inside the computer. The transmission serial # B7XA ( 3 shaft) He has had the car for weeks and my son is in college...we need help.
Answer Symptoms described indicates a fault internally.
Possile causes :
1. 1st accumulator defective
2. 1st gear worn/damaged
3. 1st clutch defective.
