with new coil pack leads and crank sensor i still have no spark

Car: Ford, Focus, 1999, 1.8 zetec     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Ford Repair Manuals

Q.with new coil pack leads and crank sensor we still have no spark nothing on diagnostics pulse at injectors and wiring pins out ok.

Answer Ok, there is obviously the potential for a PCM fault here. However, an individual injector fault will stop the PCM firing the injectors. If there is an internal fault, i. E actuator wiring, on cranking, the pcm detects this an prevents the engine from starting by preventing a spark and closeing all 4 injectors. Also, this fault does not always develop a DTC.
I dont knw if you have already done this, but check the timing belt also. If i hasnt been replaced, it is due now, but tensioner fault can cause belts to jump/slip.
I have also had non genuine coil packs been faulty on many occasions so bear this in mind.
