Car dies on the road!!
Car: Acura, RL, 1998, 6Cyl - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals
Q.We have a 1998 Aura 3.5 RL. For a while now we can be driving down the road and the car will die. The majority of the time it will crank back up immediatly. It happens after the car is warmed up. It will take place after decreasing speed and when you go to accelerate to pick speed back up. It will die most of the time and sometimes it will almost die but continue and the check engine light will flash. It has been scanned several times and all the problems showing on the scanns corrected. We have replaced the egr valve, cleaned the ports and throttle body, replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump, checked the relay switches and replaced the battery. It may go a while without acting up or it may act up several times in a day. We don't know anything else to do.
I already checked/done: Fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, egr valve, cleaning of the ports and throttle body.
Answer have you inspected the main fuel relay? These are very common for failing and have replaced several for this same symptom.
