Scattered a Z motor

Q.After running a Jackson blower with a Jackson fuel regulator on my ZC motor for a few weeks, it appears that I've either burned a valve, or holed a piston. I believe that the regulator was not enrichning the fuel as it was supposed to do. The question is, if the piston is damaged, can the ZC piston be replaced with a standard 1600 piston ??.....Byron
