My 04 MDX has a CEL light & occasional VTM-4 light that keeps coming on.
Car: Acura, MDX, 2004, V6 - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals
Q.My 04 MDX has a CEL light & occasional VTM-4 light that keeps coming on. Computer is showing that cylinders 1, 4, & 6 are misfiring. The misfiring is bad when the car is cold, as it warms the frequency of misfires comes down. A few weeks ago they identified cylinder #6 was misfiring so they replaced #6 coil. Now a couple weeks later the lights are back on with the above situation showing on the computer. They want to do a valve adjustment but I don't want to pay $500 for that & plugs if that is not the source of the problem. Any ideas?
I already checked/done: Replaced coil # 6 due to heavy #6 misfire.
More Info required can you tell me how many miles are on the mdx ?
did they provide you with the information as to why they are wanting to do a valve adjustment ?
what test or data did they come up with ?
