Should I get the timing belt changed?
Car: Acura, TL, 2003 - Back to Fix-It - Acura TL Repair Manuals
Q.M have a 2003 Acura TL S purchased July 2002 with 75,000 miles. Manual says timing belt change at 105,000 "or 7 years". Should I get the timing belt changed now?
Answer About your vehicle.
Yes, the belt should be replaced at the 7 years, even though the milage is not up to the 105K yet. That is an interference engine, which means that the valves will contact the pistons if the belt were to break.
Also, it is a good idea to replace the water pump and the timing belt tensioner at that time.
