Q.i have a 1994 acura legend that overheats about 5 to 10 minutes after driving. the coolant is not flowing freely through the engine and has air pockets according to a mechanic that looked at it.
he says it may be the head gasket could this be true or is he just trying to dig in my pockets? also there is this product called steelseal that claims it can repair head gasket problems does it really work? please help thank you.

I already checked/done: draining the coolant flushig it

Answer I would not recommend putting in any steelseal or anything like that in the engine. It can be bad news. You will be able to bleed the air out of the system. Here is a diagram:

It will be part # 11.
You will want to set the temp on the A/C control panel to HOT. Remove radiator cap, be extremely careful if engine is hot. Start car, let idle till cooling fans kick on.
At that point top of coolant in radiator, crack open the bleeder bolt. Let the coolant flow through system, you may need to add coolant to radiator. Once you have a steady flow of just coolant coming out of the bleeder.. >> login for more
