Electrical problem - I his a bump!

Q.I have a 1991 honda accord. I hit a bump. a big one.
At first every time i hit the brake, the lights inside the car would dim and the radio wouldn't play, when i accelerate, everything was fine. finally when i arrived home, a little smoke came frome the steering column and the left blinker came steadily on and remained on even when i trun the car completely off and remove the key. the only way to get it to turn off was to disconnect the car battery. WTF is wrong with my poor little hooptie?
