Q.how do you replace a clutch slave cylinder on a 99 honda passport?

I already checked/done: Had a mechanic come to my house and look at it. He said it was the clutch slave cylinder.

Answer The slave cylinder is located on the side of the transmission and pushes the release fork thar runs inside the transmission.
To remove the slave, disconnect the hydraulic line with a flare nut wrench and block the end with a piece of rubber hose with a bolt stuck in the end.
Remove the two mounting bolts and the slave. Install the new slave, the mounting bolts and the hydraulic line.
Open the bleeder screw and allow the fluid to drip for a minute keeping the master cylinder reservoir on the firewall full at all times. Close the bleeder and try the clutch pedal.
If the slave was the problem you should have a good pedal. .. >> login for more
