Audi S3 sunroof wont work

Car: Audi, S3, 2000 - Back to Fix-It - Audi Repair Manuals

Q.Audi S3 2000 model. Electric sunroof will open but fails to close properly. Stops 2 inches short. No adjusting of dial or pinching it / pulling it down seems to get it closed. Any help please?

I already checked/done: Moved dial to numerous positions.
Roof will not close by locking car with remote or actuall key.
would like to get it closed and prepared to do it manually using alen key.
Is there a way of resyncronising the dial to get it to close? Motor is working but dial is not communication properly.

Answer the sunroof sees a pinch protection (high amp) there is an overide by turning the switch closed and then let the sunroof run until it stops then push the frontof the dial in and manually will close. Need to see if the cables jumped off of sequence or interference of the air deflector of the sun shade
