Oil temperature warning light flashing after engine head gaskets replaced

Car: Subaru, Outback, 2000, 2.5     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Subaru Repair Manuals

Q.2000 Subaru outback 2.5 --at oil temperature warning light flashing after engine head gaskets replaced?
also check engine light came on a short time later. Car runs fine but tranny not shifting right.
Car has automatic tranny and when starting out there is a clunk at around 5mph and does not seem to want to go into overdrive. Trouble shooting shows the dropping resistor not in spec., sometimes 13 ohms and other 17-20.
Should I replace this or what do you thing it is?

I already checked/done: checked all conections. Seems intermitent, at temp light flashes constently but sometimes it wont flash just after start up but sonn after it will flash and check engine light comes on also.

More Info required Was the transmission jacked up using the oil pan as the jacking point? Is it bent at all?
