1996 ford taurus does not turnover

Car: Ford, Taurus, 1996     -    Back to Fix-It    -    Ford Repair Manuals

Q.i have a 1996 ford taurus that the ignition switch appeared to be bad and i have replaced it however the car still does not turnover--( charging system has been checked and battery is good ).
i noticed a clicking coming from the fuse block and determined, by touch(felt which relay was tapping) that the battery recovery relay is where the noise was coming from. it has been replaced to no avail. have i missed anything that would keep the car from turning over?

I already checked/done: the battery and charging system, ignition switch replacement, relay replacement.

Answer Be sure the Battery is fully charged & clean connections to the Starter.
Be sure the "THEFT" Light is not blinking or on steady
You need to check for voltage on the RED / Light Blue wire, at the Ignition Switch, with the Key held in Crank.
No Voltage, check the voltage on the Battery wires at the Ignition Switch. If there is Voltage on the RED / Light Blue wire, then check the Transmission Switch on the RED / Light Blue wire with Key held in Crank position, then on the WHITE / Pink wire at the Transmission Switch.
If no Voltage change Switch or check.
If Voltage, check WHITE / Pink wire at Starter, if Voltage, replace Sta.. >> login for more
