Door latch would not work

Car: Acura, Vigor, 1994, 5cyl - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals

Q.1994 Acura Vigor tried to open drivers door from the inside, when I pull the handle all it does is move the handle on the outside of the door. Door will not unlatch from inside, only outside.

Answer It sounds like the handle may have broken off on your Acura.. They are made of 'cheap plastic' and tend to break after a few years of use. Either way you are going to have to get the handle off there to see. Either that or the linkage has come loose from the latch at the back of the door.
Getting the handle off is simple enough, the screw is in plain sight, and then pull out on it, and loosen the linkage from the handle, if it is not already broken off.. Then putting another one in is just as easy, just be sure you have the 'lock tab' on right to hold the linkage in the handle.
