Steering Column/Tilt Lever Inspection/Adjustment
- Inspect the sliding capsules (A) are not come off.
- Check that the column shaft turns smoothly by turning the shaft, and inspect the steering column ball bearing (B) and the steering joint bearings (C) for play and proper movement. If any bearing is noisy or has excessive play, replace the steering column as an assembly.
- Check the sliding capsules and absorbing bracket (D) for distortion and breakage. If there is distortion or breakage replace the steering column as an assembly.
