Lubricants and Fluids

Although this is unlikely unless you handle used oil on a daily basis, it is still advisable to thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water as soon as possible after handling used oil.
For the details of lubrication points and type of lubricants to be applied, refer to the illustrated index and various work procedures (such as Assembly/Reassembly, Replacement, Overhaul, Installation, etc.) contained in each section.

Always use Honda MTF. Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives.CVTHonda CVT Fluid (ATF).
